In short
Distributor matching is a structured search: we agree your selection criteria, build a longlist, verify each candidate against documents, references and a site visit where possible, and introduce a shortlist. You choose and negotiate; your own lawyer reviews the contract.
Who it is for
- Foreign brands and manufacturers that want to sell in Cambodia through a local partner
- Companies replacing or adding a distributor
- Investors looking for a local operating partner
What you get
- Written selection criteria agreed with you before the search starts
- Longlist drawn from trade contacts, industry bodies and our own research
- Verification of each shortlisted candidate: registration documents, references and capacity
- Shortlist profiles with strengths, gaps and open questions
- Introductions and meetings arranged, with a briefing note for each
How it works
- Step 1Criteria
Territory, channels, volumes, storage, finance, exclusivity and what a good partner looks like.
- Step 2Longlist
Candidates sourced from several independent channels, not a single list.
- Step 3Verification
Documents, references, capacity checks and, where possible, a visit to their premises.
- Step 4Shortlist and meetings
Profiles, introductions and meeting coordination, with a debrief after each.
What we need from you
- Product and pricing information, and any minimum order or margin expectations
- Your must-haves and deal-breakers for a partner
- Whether you already have a distributor you want benchmarked
What this is not
- Contract drafting or legal review. We recommend your own counsel reviews any agreement.
- Any promise that a distributor will hit sales targets.
Questions
Do you take a commission from the distributors you introduce?
Our fees are agreed with you in the proposal. Our advice is meant to be independent of any distributor, and any commercial relationship with a candidate would be disclosed to you before introduction.
What do you check on a distributor?
We review registration documents they provide, ask for trade references, assess storage, logistics and financial capacity, and visit premises where possible. The checklist is in our guide on how to vet a distributor.
